Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble's new CD, "An Evening at the Brink Lounge" was recorded by AFA engineer Steve Gotcher and mixed in the studio during the fall of 2009.

 

 

 

 

 

In late summer of 2009, saxophonist Anders Svanoe came to us with the idea of recording some partly written/partly improvised saxophone duets with recent Thelonious Monk Award-Winner Jon Irabagon. Jon was excited to participate, and he was planning to be in Madison anyway to take some lessons with the legendary Roscoe Mitchell (Art Ensemble of Chicago, Note Factory)—another longtime AFA client. Jon, Anders and Roscoe came into the studio to lay down some tracks, and the results were electrifying.
